    I’m so grateful to have the grace period to put a plan together. Annette and I worked on the plan hoping it’ll be reviewed and implemented in the near future. We are going through a LMS migration this year. Many priorities have been shifted and adjusted according to this LMS change. While our faculty development plan might not be around the corner, the time period offers a great opportunity for collecting data, reevaluating our workflows and effectiveness of operations.
    We don’t have a official program in place for faculty development yet. However, we can start keeping collaborative effort in mind and joining other centers to work on the areas we might overlap.
    We are looking forward to exchanging ideas with other institutions and potentially work with you all in the future.

    Hello!

    Thank you so much for your submission! Reviewing your Implementation Plan, I have just a few comments and take-aways.

    First, your LMS Migration may need to be your focus for a while, but continuously working on your professional development plan would be great… if time allows! Using/having QM is a great start. You stated it was optional? Have you thought about embedding informal quality standards within your professional development? It might also be a good idea to implement some of those standards in your rubrics for some of your annual distance learning awards that you mentioned so that you are consistent throughout trainings, awards, and recognitions.

    Also, you state you will partner with faculty for the delivery of your professional development. We have found it highly rewarding to include faculty in our professional development both for our planning and faculty/participant buy in. I hope you find the same.

    Lastly your survey component, don’t forget to reach out to our RITE: Research Initiative for Teaching Effectiveness (https://cdl.ucf.edu/research/ ) they would be more than willing to share our evaluation questions and the processes for implementing it at our institution.

    Out of pure curiosity, have you stuck to your 30-60-90 plan and presented your initiative to your directors? If so, how did it go?
