Ena Urbina is an Instructional Design Specialist at Florida International University. She began at FIU Online as a Course Developer in January 2018 but took an interest in instructional design and continued to progress within the field. As an instructional design specialist, she helps professors who know a particular subject develop inclusive and interactive educational experiences at a university level to help keep students engaged. Currently, Ena is pursuing a Master’s degree in Disaster Management through the Robert Stempel College of Public Health and Social Work. She hopes to incorporate her instructional design skills with her education in disaster management to develop sustainable learning experiences for emergency responders. Outside of FIU Online, She participates in an environmental awareness group that aims to reduce FIU’s carbon footprint and impact on the environment called GoGreen Team.
