Shelly Wyatt replied to the topic Self-Care During the Pandemic in the forum Share an Effective Practice

You are so right, Tina! For me, though, it seems like what I need for self-care varies from week-to-week or even day-to-day. Another factor is what kinds of care I need to provide my family. One of the main ways I have engaged in self-care has been making sure I have time to cook (which is easier working from home).

Thanks Paige and Rebecca for your posts!

Paige, I think you made an important point about incentives: what do faculty at your institution find rewarding. The challenge, though, is that there can be a lot of variation on any campus regarding what faculty value: time, money, certification, access to support or services, etc.

End-of-course surveys do provide important feedback although, in online classes, I can see where faculty could easily dismiss the significance of the feedback because they lack the face-to-face context.
