The rapid response to moving hands-on labs to online/remote labs affected universities and colleges throughout the US. To better serve their faculty members, websites were designed to provide resources and links ranging from videos, demonstrations, lab kits, etc. to aid in instruction.
Sourcing material and determining the needs of your faculty members will help decide what works best for your institution. Although some instructional content is provided at no cost, others require a student or site license to be accessed and can be used to replace traditional instructional materials.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we formed a task force to support faculty who teach lab courses as they quickly moved to remote instruction. This led to the compilation of resources, so that we had a toolbox to pull from when meeting with faculty. We also provided consultations at the college, program, and course level. While the task force included instructional designers and librarians, we also connected faculty with other university resources as appropriate.
